John: We really tore up the highway today. We drove 56 miles to Denali Park. At the park we visited the visitors access center where we viewed films about bears and low impact camping. We also took a bus to a sled dog demonstration in the park. We met up with Peter and Betty at the Park. We are camped at a free dirt level parking lot. It’s next to the Tenana River with the Alaska Railroad line right across the river. It rained for about an hour on the drive to the park. Just enough to clean off the bugs on the front of the truck. It's amazing how many bugs we’ve killed! We got our Denali tour tickets exchanged form 2:20-10:00 to 9:40-5:00. It’s an 8 hour free tour.
